Nutmeg and Cinnamon Blueberry French Toast Casserole

I love me a great brunch! I love waking up late, staying in bed for an hour, dragging myself around the house for yet another hour then dressing up and going out for a fantastic brunch with friends. Since the pandemic started, I personally have been eating out aloooot less. I never used to eat out that much to begin with, but the pandemic truly slowed me down significantly. That however does not mean I don’t do my brunches at home. I love brunch at home because I can customize what I want according to what my palate wants. I love a mix of savoury and sweet, but more of the former than the latter. This nutmeg and Cinnamon blueberry French toast casserole is a star and makes for the perfect brunch dish.

She is fruity. She is boozy. She is spicy. And she is your next addiction.

Poppy Seed and Orange Zest French Toast

Breakfast is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite meal times. I have no concrete reason why, but I just love the ease and beauty that morning hours bring with them. Now that it is January and it is nice and bright, I love having breakfast sitting by the window, the house in complete silence ( I love silence), and just watching how beautiful and tranquil everything looks when kissed by the morning rays. It is a sacred time for me, where I listen to myself, center myself, and nourish my body before setting out to perform the day’s tasks. As much as I can, I try make my breakfast delicious and exciting. After all, being the first meal, and I like for it to set the tone for the day.

I did an Instagram Story for this very recipe last November and you guys COMPLETELY fell in love with it. A few tweaks later, I decided to put it on the blog and on YouTube as well so that you can have it forever <3, and those who missed out on it can also enjoy it!

And since I had nothing sweet ready for me, that meant some experimentation and lucky for us, a new recipe :)) Side note: Have you subscribed to my YouTube channel? You should!!!

Tangerine and Sesame Seed French Toast

I have always loved my french toast. I have plenty of memories attached to this dish. And that’s what will always make it special to me. Besides that, I love french toast because it is easy to make and you can make it in a million different ways.

I stumbled upon Girl and Apron while I was making my photo own submissions to Food Gawker and I loved her blog the instant I checked it out. Her recipes are simple and we happen to even use the same theme LOL. I guess great minds really do thing alike! She made these french toast with some almonds and oranges. I thought I could recreate the same with what I had at hand. I decided to make tangerine and sesame seed french toast. This was G.O.O.D.
